Hi there.

Just dealt with 10days worth of illness and hearing impairment making it quite difficult to work on my Audio-Visual thesis. I’ve spent the time rethinking and reworking the site to increase the work flow – i’m guessing it is best to start with a solid framework. Details below.

mega hearing aid contraption

I spent a lot of time messing with the Cutline theme only to discover (thanks Shannon!) that the Atahualpa theme could do what i wanted in a much more efficient fashion. So i’ve changed themes to what I consider to be a more functional solution. Post, friend links and subscription stuff is going to sit on the left side while I’ve put the delicious links on the right. I’ve also included a Twitter feed which will log relevant thoughts that I often seem to have in transit. All things working well these will be archived into a blog post every Sunday.

I’ve also removed the separated resources section as I realised, there is way too much material to just be posted Youtube/Vimeo links on one page. The resources page is now one page with links that will grow within each category. If there is a more elegant solution I’m happy to hear about it. I will also be adding a reference page and am interested to know if there are any bibliographic solutions other than Endnote or Papers that readers are finding useful. I’m giving Mendeley a go but at this stage it seems to be only really useful for pdfs.

Starting work within a solid “cloud computing” paradigm looks to be a successful way of managing this beast. In addition to the blog/twitter/delicious link ups i’m also quite into using Evernote as a note taking device that I can access from Laptop / Desktop / iPhone.

I will be updating the randomised header images so they fit with this theme in the not too distant future. As well as posting some info and samples of recent N4rgh1l3 work and more. Stay tuned!
